The Makita DC40RB Twin Port Rapid Charger has been specifically designed for the XGT 40V Max Li-Ion battery platform, providing fast, efficient charging for professionals who rely on maximum uptime. When used with the optional ADP10 Charging Adapter (sold separately), the charger can also rapidly charge Makita 14.4V and 18V LXT batteries, making it a versatile solution for users operating across both battery systems.
Featuring advanced XGT electronic technology, the charger communicates directly with the battery to monitor its condition and charging requirements in real time. This intelligent system automatically optimises the charging process to improve efficiency, enhance performance, and help extend battery service life.
Clear LED charging indicators keep you informed throughout the charging cycle. Once a battery is inserted, the indicator changes from green to blue to confirm charging has started. A fast-flashing blue light indicates the battery is between 0% and 80% charged, while a solid blue light shows the battery has reached 80% to 100% capacity. When charging is complete, the indicator returns to green and an audible notification signals that the battery is ready for use.
With twin charging ports, the DC40RB is ideal for users of 40V Max XGT and 80V Max XGT tools, allowing two 40V Max batteries to be charged at the same time. This significantly reduces downtime and helps maintain productivity on busy jobsites.
