Description
The Makita DC40RA Fast Charger has been specifically engineered for rapid charging of XGT 40V Max Li-Ion batteries, delivering maximum efficiency and battery performance. When used with the optional ADP10 Charging Adapter (sold separately), it can also fast charge Makita LXT 14.4V and 18V batteries, providing excellent versatility across both battery platforms.
As part of the advanced XGT system, the charger, battery and tool communicate through enhanced electronic technology. This intelligent communication allows the charger to monitor the battery's condition and apply the most suitable charging method, helping to optimise performance and maximise battery lifespan.
The DC40RA features a dual-fan cooling system, with one fan cooling the battery and the other cooling the charging circuitry. By effectively reducing operating temperatures during charging, this system helps extend battery life while significantly reducing charge times.
The result is a highly efficient charging solution capable of fully charging a 40V Max XGT 2.5Ah battery in approximately 28 minutes and a 4.0Ah battery in around 45 minutes. When paired with the optional ADP10 adapter, the DC40RA can also charge 18V LXT batteries faster than many standard LXT fast chargers, with 5.0Ah and 6.0Ah batteries reaching full charge in as little as 40 minutes. For added convenience, the charger can also be securely mounted to a wall.
