It's perfect for adding to mortars and renders when a Portland cement is used, giving a subtle weathered look that blends in beautifully with your existing stone. Traditional lime is simple to work with and it's easy for even novice DIY'ers to create a good quality finish.



Hanson hydrated lime can withstand the weather better than cement-only mixtures. It creates strong and long-lasting mortar that doesn't crumble or develop large cracks over time. It's water repellent too, so any pointing with traditional lime will last longer and won't be damaged by damp as easily. Thanks to its paper packaging, it has some serious green credentials too.
