The Elliotts Help You Build Fund
1. The promoter
This promotion is run by Elliott Brothers Limited ("Elliotts", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 02511005, registered office Millbank Wharf, Northam, Southampton, SO14 5AG.
By entering, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
2. What the promotion is
One winner will receive the Help You Build Fund: £2,000 excluding VAT to spend on goods at Elliotts.
There is one prize and one winner.
3. When it runs
The promotion opens at 00:01 on 15 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 October 2026 (the "promotion period").
Qualifying spend counts only if it falls inside the promotion period. Free-entry letters count only if they are received by us no later than 23:59 on 31 October 2026. We do not rely on postmarks, so please allow enough time for your letter to reach us.
4. Who can enter
Entry is open to holders of an Elliotts account that is open and in good standing at both the point of entry and the point of the draw, and who are aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom.
An Elliotts account is free to open, in any branch or at https://elliotts.uk/Identity/Account/Register, and no purchase is necessary either to open one or to enter this promotion.
You cannot enter if you are:
Elliott Brothers Limited or any of its group companies, including Premier Roofing, FutureMost and Living Spaces, or an employee or director of any of them;
an employee or director of Carswell Gould, or of any other agency, supplier or contractor connected with the administration of this promotion;
an immediate family member or a member of the same household as anyone in the two groups above.
Each Elliotts account counts as a single entrant, however many entries it earns. Where a trade account is held by a business, the entrant is the account holder - the business - not any individual employee, and the prize is awarded to the account. Where the same business holds more than one Elliotts account, all of its accounts are treated as a single entrant and their spend is combined.
Being left out of the draw. Entries under Route 1 are counted automatically from account records, so you do not have to do anything to be entered. If you would rather not be entered - for example because your own company's policy on gifts and hospitality does not allow it - write to us at the address in section 12 at any time before the draw, and we will exclude your account.
We may ask you to prove your eligibility, and may reject an entry or withdraw the prize if you cannot.
5. How to enter - two routes, and you can use either or both
No purchase is necessary. There are two ways to earn entries and both are treated identically in the draw. Every entry, however it was earned, has exactly the same chance of winning.
Route 1 - spend at Elliotts
Every whole £1 excluding VAT of qualifying spend on your Elliotts account during the promotion period earns you one entry. £250 of qualifying spend earns 250 entries.
Qualifying spend means goods bought during the promotion period and charged to the entrant's Elliotts account - or, where the entrant holds more than one such account, to any of them - where the goods are either:
collected from an Elliotts branch or trade counter; or
ordered on elliotts.uk, whether they are then collected or delivered.
Quotes and special orders count in the same way, once they become an order that is collected in branch or bought online.
Qualifying spend does not include:
VAT, delivery or carriage charges, or any other service or handling charge;
goods that are delivered, unless the order was placed on elliotts.uk;
tool, plant or equipment hire;
purchases of gift cards, gift vouchers or credit notes;
payments made to your account, as opposed to purchases of goods;
goods that are returned, cancelled, refunded or credited - entries earned on them are removed;
goods bought on any Elliotts account that is not the entrant's own or, where section 4 applies, not one of the entrant's combined accounts.
Qualifying spend is totalled across the whole promotion period and then rounded down to the nearest whole pound, not rounded transaction by transaction.
Entries are calculated from Elliotts' own account records. Those records are final, save for manifest error.
You do not need to register or claim: if you spend on your trade account during the promotion period, your entries are counted automatically.
Route 2 - enter free by post
You can enter free, without spending anything, by sending a letter by ordinary post to:
Help You Build Fund, c/o Carswell Gould, 16 Brunswick Place, Southampton, SO15 2AQ
Write the words "Help You Build Fund" clearly on your letter, together with:
your name;
your Elliotts account number;
your business name and address;
a contact telephone number and email address.
Each letter counts as one entry, and there is no limit on the number of free postal entries you can send. Each entry must be sent in its own separate envelope by ordinary post, at the normal postal rate - bulk, mechanically reproduced or duplicated entries sent together will be disqualified. Postage is at your own cost and we cannot refund it.
We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged or misdirected in the post. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
6. The draw
The winner will be picked at random from all valid entries received by both routes, by 14 November 2026. The draw will be carried out using a random number generator, and we will keep a record of the draw and of the result it produced.
The system for allocating the prize does not distinguish in any way between entries earned by spending and entries earned by post.
7. Telling the winner, and claiming the prize
We will contact the winner within 14 days of the draw, using the contact details held on their account or given on their postal entry. We will make at least three attempts to reach them, by telephone, or by email where no telephone number is available.
The winner must confirm they accept the prize within 14 days of the date of our first notification. If we cannot reach the winner, or they do not respond, within that time, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and draw an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries.
If the winner's account is closed, suspended or no longer in good standing between the draw and the prize being issued, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and draw an alternative winner.
8. The prize
The prize is £2,000 excluding VAT to spend on goods at Elliotts, issued as a restricted credit note in the name of the winning account.
It must be spent within six months of being issued. Anything unspent after that is lost.
It can be spent across more than one transaction, in branch or online, until it is used up, and it can be used towards tool, plant or equipment hire.
It cannot be spent on delivery or carriage charges, gift cards, gift vouchers or credit notes, or goods bought for resale, and it cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or sold, or applied against any balance already outstanding on the account.
There is no cash alternative.
If goods to the value of the prize are unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
The winner is responsible for any tax, duty or other liability arising from receiving the prize, and for declaring it where they are required to. We recommend the winner takes their own advice on this.
9. Publicity, and use of the winner's name and image
Announcing the result
By entering, you agree that if you win we may publish the winner's name, business name and county, and the Elliotts branch they use, in announcing the result. We have to publish or make available enough information to show that a valid award took place. If you would rather we published less than this, tell us before the draw at the address in section 12 and we will reduce it to the minimum required.
Use of the winner in Elliotts' marketing after the campaign
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner takes part in reasonable publicity about the Help You Build Fund, and agrees to Elliotts using the resulting material in its own marketing after the promotion has ended.
That means the winner agrees that Elliotts may use their name, their business name and logo, their photograph, film of them, and any quotes or comments they give us, in Elliotts' marketing - including Elliotts' social media channels, email marketing, the Elliotts website, in-branch and printed material, trade press and customer case studies - and may edit that material for length, format and channel.
This permission is given free of charge, for use in the United Kingdom, for three years from the date each piece of material is created.
Reasonable publicity means, as a minimum, a photograph at the winner's site or an Elliotts branch, and a short quote. We will arrange it at a time and place that suits the winner, and we will not ask them to cover any cost of taking part.
We will ask the winner to sign a short release confirming this permission and the people appearing in the material before any shoot takes place. Anyone else who appears in the material - employees, family, other people on site - must give their own permission, and the winner agrees to help us obtain it.
We will not use the material in a way that is derogatory or that misrepresents the winner or their business, and we will stop using it if the winner tells us they have a serious reason to withdraw, though material already published or printed may take time to remove and material already in print cannot be recalled.
If the winner is not willing to take part on this basis, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize and draw an alternative winner.
10. Your information
Elliott Brothers Limited is the data controller for the personal information you give us or that we use in running this promotion. Carswell Gould acts as our processor in administering it.
We use it only to run the promotion - checking eligibility, calculating entries, running the draw, contacting the winner, awarding the prize and producing and publishing the publicity described in section 9 - and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We will not use your entry to add you to any marketing list without your separate consent.
Details of how we handle personal information, how long we keep it and your rights are in our privacy policy at https://elliotts.uk/privacy-policy.
11. General
We may disqualify any entry we reasonably believe involves fraud, manipulation, misuse of an account, deliberate purchasing intended solely to generate entries and later reversed, or any other attempt to gain an unfair advantage.
We may amend these terms, or suspend, shorten or cancel the promotion, where there is a genuine reason to do so beyond our reasonable control. If we do, we will publish notice of it at elliotts.uk/funddraw. We will not do so in a way that unfairly disadvantages entrants who have already entered.
Our decisions on the outcome of the draw are final. This does not affect your ability to raise a question or a complaint with us under section 12.
We will keep the records of entries and of the draw for 12 months after the draw, and will make evidence that a valid draw took place available if we are asked for it.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from entering the promotion or from accepting or using the prize.
Entry is personal to the entrant and cannot be transferred, sold or assigned.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Only Elliotts and the entrant have rights under these terms. No one else may enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
