The Makita BO002CG 40V Max XGT 125mm Brushless Random Orbit Sander is a lightweight, versatile sanding tool designed to deliver outstanding performance and user comfort. Featuring an innovative external battery system, the battery is housed in a belt-mounted adapter rather than on the tool itself, reducing overall weight and creating a more compact, easy-to-handle sander. This design improves balance, manoeuvrability and control, making it ideal for prolonged use.
With a low-profile design measuring just 96mm from the top of the tool to the sanding pad, the BO002CG offers excellent accessibility and freedom of movement, allowing users to work comfortably across a wide range of surfaces. Its 5mm orbit diameter provides efficient material removal and a smooth finish, while constant speed control helps maintain performance even under load for consistent results.
Powered by an advanced brushless motor, the sander delivers a variable no-load speed range of 6,000 to 10,000rpm, combining strong performance with improved battery efficiency and reduced maintenance requirements. The integrated pad saver helps prevent clogging and extends pad life, ensuring reliable operation throughout demanding applications.
Dust extraction is managed via the supplied dust bag, while compatibility with external dust extractors helps maintain a cleaner, safer working environment. For enhanced convenience, the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) enables Bluetooth connectivity with compatible Makita dust extractors, automatically starting and stopping the extractor when the sander is in use, improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary power consumption.
