The Makita BO001CG 40V Max XGT 125mm Brushless Random Orbit Sander is a lightweight, high-performance sanding solution designed for professional users. Featuring an innovative external battery system, the battery is housed in a belt-mounted adapter rather than on the tool itself, significantly reducing the sander's weight and improving handling. This compact design provides greater control and manoeuvrability, making it easier to work comfortably for extended periods.
With an ultra-low profile of just 96mm from the top of the tool to the sanding pad, the BO001CG offers excellent accessibility and freedom of movement, particularly when working in confined spaces. Its 5mm orbit diameter delivers an ideal balance of material removal and fine finishing, while the constant speed control maintains performance under load for consistent sanding results.
The sander is equipped with a pad saver to help prevent dust build-up and reduce clogging, extending pad life and ensuring uninterrupted operation. Powered by an efficient brushless motor, it offers a variable no-load speed range of 6,000 to 10,000rpm, delivering smooth, reliable performance while maximising battery efficiency and minimising maintenance requirements.
Dust collection is handled by the supplied dust bag, while compatibility with external dust extraction systems helps maintain a cleaner working environment. For even greater convenience, the Auto-Start Wireless System (AWS) enables Bluetooth connectivity with compatible Makita dust extractors, automatically starting and stopping the extractor when the tool is operated, helping to improve efficiency and conserve battery power.
