We know you rely on us for your building essentials. And we know you have essential building work to carry out in our communities.
That’s why we swiftly adapted our working practices. We shifted more orders to deliveries and closed our shops – moving to agreed collection times instead.
But we now need to make further changes.
We must be able to trade safely.
We have limited teams in our branches and must control the flow of customers collecting orders. We simply cannot safely supply building materials to everyone right now.
It’s in our nature, and in our heritage, to help everyone build, but we must ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of us.
We will still only do deliveries and pre-arranged collections, always working within the government’s social distancing guidelines.
For our retail customers, I know this is a disappointment. Some of you want to get on with DIY jobs whilst you’re staying at home. Just hold off for now! As soon as we are safely able, we’ll still be here for you.
And for new customers that want to open accounts with us, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait. Keep to a safe distance for now. As soon as we are safely able, we’ll be here for you too.
