COVID restrictions update

Changes to restrictions - July 2021

From Monday 19th July, most COVID restrictions will be lifted in England.

This includes the lifting of social distancing and mandatory wearing of face coverings in shops.

What does this mean for the way we’ll be trading after July 19th?

Trading safely remains our priority, so we’re keeping our covid safety measures in place.

Face coverings

It’s no longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings in our branches or showrooms.

Instead, the government “expects and recommends” them to be worn in enclosed spaces.

We are encouraging our teams to continue to wear face coverings, particularly when on the shop floor, and would welcome you to do the same.

Your experience in branch

The counter screens will remain in place, as will the additional cleaning measures.

You’ll also find hand sanitiser available for you to use.

This way, we can continue to keep trading safe for you and our teams.

If you’re showing signs of COVID-19, we ask that you do not come to our branches or showrooms. We’ll still be able to help you build. Just call your local branch to arrange a delivery instead.
