Concrete Paving
Concrete paving slabs are a durable and cost-effective way to create patios, driveways, and garden paths. Built to withstand heavy foot traffic and the full force of British weather, we stock a range of concrete paving in a range of textures and sizes from some of the UK's most trusted manufacturers, including Brett, Marshalls, Bradstone and Charcon.
Concrete paving slabs available in 450mm, 600mm and 900mm
Our concrete slabs are available in the two most widely used sizes — 450 x 450mm and 600 x 600mm — along with larger 900 x 600mm formats for a more contemporary look. Thickness options range from 32mm for standard pedestrian patios up to 50mm for areas subject to heavier loads.
Choose from a variety of finishes including riven (for a natural, textured appearance), smooth pressed and textured surfaces. Colours available include buff, natural, charcoal, grey and dark grey, giving you the flexibility to complement any garden style from traditional to modern.
Why Choose Concrete Paving?
Concrete paving slabs are a popular choice due to their balance of performance and cost.
Benefits of concrete slabs include:
- Affordable compared to porcelain or natural stone
- Durable and weather-resistant
- Available in a wide range of styles
- Easy to install and maintain
To extend the life and appearance of your concrete slabs, we recommend finishing with a concrete paving sealer to protect against staining, moisture and surface wear.
You'll find everything else you need to complete your project in our Paving Accessories range, including jointing compounds, pointing mortar and paving sand.

Frequently Asked Questions — Concrete paving slabs
What thickness concrete slab do I need?
For standard pedestrian areas such as garden patios and paths, a slab thickness of 32–38mm is typically sufficient.
For areas subject to vehicle loading, such as driveways, opt for a 50mm slab bedded on a properly prepared and compacted sub-base.
Do concrete slabs need sealing?
Sealing is optional but strongly recommended, particularly for patio areas, BBQ zones or anywhere prone to staining. A quality concrete paving sealer protects against moisture, freeze-thaw damage, algae growth and surface wear, helping to keep your slabs looking their best for longer.
Are concrete paving slabs suitable for driveways?
Yes, provided you select a slab rated for vehicle loads (50mm thickness minimum) and install it over an adequate sub-base.
How do I clean concrete paving slabs?
Regular sweeping and an occasional rinse with soapy water is usually enough to keep concrete slabs clean. For tougher stains, algae or moss, use a stiff brush with a proprietary patio cleaner. A pressure washer can also be effective. Re-sealing after deep cleaning will help protect the surface going forward.
