Reporting to: 
Managing Director
40 hours per week; 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday, plus some Saturday Mornings if required. Flexibility required with start and finish times according to branch opening hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Effective and profitable operation of the branch - purchasing, stock, sales, margin etc
  • Strong leadership, inspiring your team to reach targets and ensure high standards of customer service are upheld
  • Manage customer relations
  • Effective management of health and safety and security of the branch

  • Strong leadership skills; a positive, confident and engaging personality
  • Previous experience of delivering continuous improvement with measured successes
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Competent IT skills in MS Office, with ability and confidence to interrogate date in BisTrack for analysis purposes
  • Excellent inerpersonal/comunication skills, written and verbal
  • Highly organised with efficient time mangement and the ability to prioritise accordingly
  • Professional manner, confident decision maker
  • Ability to interpret financial and statistical information
  • Knowledge of building materials.
